Westin Playa Bonita Debuts in Panama

While not strictly in the Caribbean, we thought the readers of Caribbean Connection would be interested in hearing about the recently-opened Westin Playa Bonita Panama, the first Westin hotel to open in Panama. The $100 million dollar beachfront hotel has 611 luxury rooms and suites.

Situated 20 minutes outside of Panama City, the hotel is surrounded by nature preserves and golden sand beaches. The Westin Playa Bonita Panama features six fine dining restaurants, four bars and an ultra chic, open-air VIP Lounge on the 19th floor, with panoramic ocean views, rainforest and downtown Panama City’s rising skyline. The Westin Playa Bonita also has 65,000 square feet of meeting and event space comprised of 22 multi-purpose spaces. Additional facilities include a Westin WORKOUT gym, three freshwater infinity edge pools, a dedicated children’s pool and the Westin Kids Club.

In celebration of the hotel’s soft opening, The Westin Playa Bonita Panama is offering an exclusive "Westin Indulge Package," which includes daily breakfast in bed, sparkling wine and strawberries upon arrival, and a late checkout of 4:00 p.m. Rates start at $265 per night for a green view room, and $285 for an ocean view room through April 3, 2012.
