For Carnival 2011, visitors can expect international shows with renowned artists, local cultural, and the colorful and vibrant two-day Grand Carnival Parade. During Carnival, St. Maarten’s Festival Village turns into the largest open-air restaurant in the northeastern Caribbean. The event features several food booths which are open 24 hours a day serving up a variety of local and international cuisines. Festival Village is also party central for all major concerts during the event.

Held during the Memorial Day holiday weekend, the Aruba Soul Beach Music Festival is a remarkable event highlighting special performances by world-famous recording artists. Past Soul Beach Music Festivals have featured performances by such luminaries as Mary J. Blige, Alicia Keys, Wyclef Jean, India Arie, Toni Braxton and Jamie Fox. The two-night concert series takes place in San Nicolas at Joe Laveist Sportpark.
