Petit St Vincent is a small private island resort located in the island nation of St. Vincent in the Grenadines. Following new ownership, upgrade plans announced earlier this year are now under way, and are on track to be completed in November.
Having spent time on Petit St Vincent with their families since purchasing the island last year, new owners Robin Paterson and Phil Stephenson have used their experience on the island and feedback from staff and customers to devise a customized renovation plan for the resort. At the heart of the renovation is the promise to keep the fundamental nature of the island resort intact. It’s natural beauty, peace and quiet, privacy and discretion and friendly, non-intrusive service will not change and Petit St Vincent will continue to be a privately owned hideaway.
The renovation program will include:
- The construction of a casual, a la carte restaurant on the beach serving light lunches, snacks and cocktails.
- The construction of a hillside spa overlooking the Caribbean with four treatment rooms.
- The refurbishment of all 22 cottages to allow for more light and airflow; plus the addition of new furniture and soft-goods.
- Landscaping that preserves the natural, wild beauty of the island while adding more colorful flowering plans and lights at night.
- New activities desk where guests are given the opportunity to take part in various sports and programs, from hiking, water sports and tennis to sailing, art classes and wine tasting.
Overall, it is Robin and Phil’s aim to “create and enduring place of beauty and harmony away from the crowds and noise of modern civilization, and built on the mutual respect already apparent between those who inhabit the island for whatever period of time they choose to visit.”
Petit St Vincent will also now be available for exclusive rental throughout the year, subject to availability. The ultimate venue for a secluded retreat with friends, family gatherings or a truly memorable celebration, guests can opt to take over the entire property for their very own private island experience.
