In June 2010, Mark Rogers created go! Destination Marketing, principally to produce e-newsletters targeted towards travel agents. go! Destination Marketing can help destinations and suppliers communicate with tens of thousands of travel agents in the United States. The company already has a track record of creating newsletters that educate and inspire travel agents to sell a destination.

Our initial Jamaica Connection flash newsletter for the Jamaica Tourist Board reached 70,000 travel agents in the U.S. selling the Caribbean. Whether you’re a destination, hotelier, tour operator, or attraction - let us assist you in making the same kind of connection.

We also produce the monthly Caribbean Connection newsletter. The content is very travel-agent focused; agents trust other agents and we always include the travel agent voice in our e-newsletters. In addition to articles, we also include links to video, which kicks it up a notch. Clients can participate in several ways. They can contract for a custom newsletter centered on their destination, hotel, tour company, or attraction. They can also buy ads in one of our scheduled newsletters, purchase a promotion box, or purchase a 650-word feature story spot.

Mark is well-known in travel trade circles for his coverage of the Caribbean. His writing has appeared in Travel Agent Magazine, where he was senior editor for 12 years, and in such publications as TravelAge West, The New York Times, Village Voice and Travel Redefined. In 2005 Mark won back-to-back awards for his writing: the CTO Worldwide Travel Writer/Photographer Award for Best Feature Article in a Trade Publication, for his cover story on St. Lucia in Travel Agent magazine; and the Marcia Vickery Wallace Memorial Award for Travel Journalism, which is given to only one writer each year, presented by the Jamaica Tourist Board for his Hurricane Ivan coverage.

The go! Destination Marketing staff includes award-winning writer Melanie Reffes (Melanie is the recipient of several Caribbean Tourism Organization writer awards and the JTB Writer of the Year (2009); and superlative designer Nicole Alleyne. Nicole’s clients include Ogilvy Worldwide, Royal Caribbean, City of New York-Parks & Recreation and South Africa Gov’t Tourism.
